Academic Integrity and Other Expected Behavior
All students are expected to adhere to the College of Charleston’s Honor Code (Bulletin & Student Handbook). Be sure to to familiarize yourself with the XF grade and the honor code system. Any violation of these rules and guidelines will be treated accordingly.
Disability Accommodation
Any student who feels he or she may need an accommodation based on the impact of a disability should contact me individually to discuss your specific needs. Also, please contact the College of Charleston, Center for Disability Services https://www.cofc.edu/~cds for additional help.
Attendance and Late Assignments
Attendance: Regular and punctual attendance is critical to your success in this class. No more than 3 unexcused absences are permitted in this MWF class. Excess absences will result in points being deducted from your Participation Grade.
While most information will be available either online or in the textbook, some information may only be presented during class. You are responsible for all information and announcements whether you are present or not.
As for missed assignments during your absences, I drop the lowest homework grade anyway. Hopefully that will be enough to cover your emergency situations.
Late Assignments: Assignments are due at the beginning of the class period on their due date. Fifty (50) points will be deducted if your assignment is late. Late assignments must be submitted no later than the next class period. Due dates for assignments will be strictly enforced.
Incomplete assignments will be regarded as late, even if you submit the remaining part later. For instance, if you leave a part of your assignment in the dorm and have to run back to get it, it's late. If you forgot to print out a part of an assignment, then the entire assignment is late.

Software Resources
The major software application that we will use is Adobe Creative Cloud. Adobe software programs are installed on some computers in the Computer Science Lab (Harbor Walk Room 335). This Lab is opened from around 8AM to midnight. However, you will have after-hours access to it for this semester. You'll simply need to show Public Safety your ID to get into the building and room if necessary. Additionally, you may acquire a 30-day free trial of each application from www.adobe.com. You should stagger the time of the downloads so that you can have each for 30 days. In addition to these two sources, you may use this classroom whenever there is not a class in session.
