Find and Follow an InDesign Tutorial

Our semester is winding down, but there is still time to improve your practical skills in graphic design. Therefore, I am giving you this Expressions Repository exercise. Remember, you need at least eight of them by the end of the semester. Feel free to do more if you find them interesting or need to gain more experience. However, if this is a busy week for you, there are about 4 more E.R. exercises coming for you to choose from.

Simply find a beginner level InDesign tutorial on YouTube or another website and follow it. Produce what it teaches you to create and submit it to your E.R. dropbox. If you don't feel like searching for one, I can suggest a great one that's less than 13 minutes. What I like about it is that it is not long, and you actually produce something meaningful. Here goes if you want to check it out: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yCAaLlrty1A

Be sure to keep track of the web address of your tutorial so that you can paste it.

SUBMIT:

  • Name your file "Indesign tutorial.pdf":
Save your design as a PDF file by clicking FILE>Export. Place it in your Expressions Repository dropbox so that you'll be ready to include it in your portfolio in April.
  • In the comment area of Oaks, let me know the source of your tutorial:
Paste the web address of your tutorial. Basically, I'm just being nosy in case I want to follow it myself.
